Home Schooled Children

In the Spring of 2013, Nova Scotia Hearing and Speech Centres (NSHSC) was asked to establish S-LP services specifically for children who have registered for Home Schooling with the NS Department of Education. The service is currently based in Halifax but services are provided province wide, at community based NSHSC sites. Services include assessment and follow-up consultation that may include: parent/caregiver training, home programming, and monitoring as needed.

Referral can be made by the child's parent/legal guardian. Following receipt of a referral, you will be asked to complete a case history form so that we can prepare for your child's assessment.
